Users of 3G.author have access to over 66,000 Material Datasheets by using MatWeb. This approach doesn’t require Premium membership of MatWeb, but it is limited to one material per transaction.

Detailed Instructions

• In order to bring material data from MatWeb to 3G.author, within 3G.author’s Material dialog box, you can simply click on “Connect to MatWeb”.
  
• Once MatWeb’s web site appears in the 3G.author view window, search and find the desired material (e.g. AISI 1005 Steel), and then click on the “Export to 3G.author” button near top of the page, and the material name and its corresponding data will be copied to 3G.author’s dialog box, then hit Ok to close the dialog.
